A Peek Inside My Wedding Invitation Design Process
If you’ve ever wondered what actually goes into designing a custom wedding invitation suite — this one’s for you. My process is thoughtful, collaborative, and intentionally paced to ensure your stationery feels cohesive, elevated, and unmistakably you from start to finish.
Here’s a little peek behind the scenes.
Step One: The Initial Chat
Every project begins with a conversation. Once you reach out, we’ll jump on a call to talk through your ideas, your vision for the day, and the overall feel you’re hoping to achieve. This is where I get to know you — not just your wedding date and venue, but what excites you, what you’re drawn to, and how you want your guests to experience your day.
We’ll also cover the logistics: your wedding date, names, venue, guest count, how you’re collecting RSVPs, and when you’re hoping to send your invitations. From there, I gather everything I need to put together a custom quote tailored specifically to your project.
When Should You Send Your Wedding Invitations?
One of the most exciting milestones in wedding planning is sending out your invitation suite. It’s the moment everything starts to feel real — your date is set, your vision is coming together, and you’re officially inviting your people to the celebration you’ve been dreaming about.
That said, invitation timing is one of the most common questions I’m asked, and the answer isn’t one-size-fits-all. The right timing depends on whether you’re sending save the dates, the type of invitation suite you’re choosing, and allowing enough room for the design, production, and mailing process to unfold comfortably (and beautifully).

Things I Wish I Was Told When I Started My Business
When I started freelancing back in 2019, I had no idea what I was doing or what I was getting myself into. I had just left my 9-5 job as a Senior Designer for a Toronto-based startup and wanted to start something of my own—something that I could build from the ground up and call mine.
